Take overnight and pre-open bookings without another host shift.
Your dining room opens at six. Guests start calling about tonight at nine in the morning, and again after you close. Onla answers those calls, books the tables that are free and leaves anything else for your team.
Bookings don't wait for opening time.
Most booking calls are ordinary: a date, a time, a party size. What makes them hard is when they arrive.
Before opening
Morning calls about tonight or the weekend, before anyone is on the floor to answer them.
During the rush
The host is seating a table and the phone keeps ringing behind them.
After close
Late calls from guests planning tomorrow, while the team is closing up or already home.
What Amira does while you're closed.
The same rules as during service, in English or Arabic, at any hour.
Books the tables that are free
A guest asking for Friday at eight gets Friday at eight if a table fits, or the free times closest to it. The booking is saved before Amira confirms it. How availability is checked.
Takes private-event bookings
A party big enough for your private room is checked against the room and booked into it. Menu and deposit details become a follow-up for your team. Nothing is sent to the guest automatically.
Moves and cancels bookings
Guests can change the time or party size, or cancel, on the call. If the new time is full, the original booking stays.
Leaves the rest for your team
A complaint, an allergy question or anything outside your rules becomes a request with a summary, what Amira already did and the guest's number. She doesn't promise a callback time she can't keep.
Your team picks up where Amira left off.
Overnight bookings are already in the book. Requests wait in the host workspace, with unowned and overdue ones first.
Claim it
A host takes a request under their own name and sets when they'll follow up.
Close it with a note
A request can't be resolved without a note, so the next shift knows what happened.
Reopen it if things change
Reopen a request with a reason. The history stays with it.
You choose when Onla answers.
Onla covers the calls that would otherwise ring out. Your team still runs the floor.
After hours
Onla answers only while the restaurant is closed.
Missed calls
Your team picks up first. Onla takes the calls they can't reach.
Every call
Onla answers every call to your number, day and night.
Asked about after-hours cover.
Does Onla answer at three in the morning?
Yes. Amira answers whenever a call reaches her. You decide which calls those are: only after hours, only the ones your team misses, or all of them.
Can guests book a time when we're closed?
No. Amira books only the start times you set for your venue. If a guest asks for a time outside them, she offers the free times that exist.
What if a caller hangs up halfway through booking?
Nothing is held until the booking is saved. If the guest hangs up before that, the table stays free for the next caller.
Does this replace our host?
No. Onla covers the calls nobody is free to answer. Greeting guests, sorting out a seating problem and making exceptions stay with your team.
Do we need a new phone number?
No. Calls reach Onla through call forwarding from the number you already have. We check the forwarding with you before we agree a go-live date.
What does it cost?
One monthly plan per venue, with no setup fee, and you can cancel any month. The price is agreed on the walkthrough call.
